Faculty-mentored Student Research Experiences

As embedded experiences in formal courses, via independent study, or as a senior thesis project, students are mentored by our faculty to learn firsthand how to conduct primary research, produce original interpretations, and construct new knowledge. Student research experiences are showcased at the annual Petersheim Academic EXPO and international, national, and regional academic and professional conferences, journals, and blog sites.

At Seton Hall, students learn through lectures and classroom discussion as well through hands-on experience. Experiential experiences mean students learn by first doing—then analyzing and reflecting. This approach reinforces knowledge acquisition and spurs creativity and focus.
