Dena Levine, D.M.A

Associate Professor of Music
College of Communication and the Arts

The scholarship of a performing pianist becomes manifest primarily through the ephemeral medium of sound, but the successful communication of a musical idea is born from years of concrete investigation into a composer's idiomatic language, attention to stylistic concerns, and pursuit of technical mastery. My work with piano students at Seton Hall is a natural extension of this continual scholarly inquiry. In addition to my classroom teaching, directing our department's Music Division as well as the Arts Council's Classical Concert Series has afforded an opportunity to explore the synergy between music education, music performance, and community.
