Kristen Koehler, Ed.D.

Dr. Koehler's diverse professional background has afforded her the opportunity to work with a number of collegiate and professional sports entities, nonprofit organizations, and institutions of higher education. A common thread through all her endeavors is offering practical learning opportunities and a staunch commitment to preparing staff members and both undergraduate and graduate students for professional growth.

Dr. Koehler has taught courses in Public Relations, Communication, Sports Management, Marketing, and Business Administration at the graduate and undergraduate levels and is a member of the Public Relations Society of America.

Dr. Koehler's primary public relations work is rooted in the crossroads of corporate social responsibility. Dr. Koehler currently coordinates a number of programs that manage the opportunities and challenges presented by diverse industries (business, government and nonprofits) working together in the interest of service. Other consulting interests include nonprofit communication, collegiate and youth sports, and leadership and management.

A proponent of experiential learning, Dr. Koehler also coordinates internship oversight and serves as a faculty advisor for the PRSSA Chapter, Litore Agency, Bateman Case Study Competition Team, and Communication Honors Alumni Mentoring Program (CHAMP).
