Brian Colfer, Ph.D

Dr. Colfer is a full-time faculty member in the Master of Healthcare Administration (MHA) program. He teaches Research Methods & Statistical Analysis for Healthcare, 21st Century Healthcare Systems, and Strategic Planning and Marketing in Healthcare Organizations.
Dr. Colfer has over 10 years experience in higher education, which includes teaching courses such as Multi-Discipline Strategic Management, U.S. and International Health Systems, Methods of Inquiry and Analysis, and Issues and Trends in Health Policy. His previous university service experience includes serving as Vice Chair of an Institutional Review Board, a faculty representative on a college-wide Executive Committee, a General Education Committee member, and a faculty advisor to multiple student organizations.
His professional experiences include working within the pharmaceutical industry as Director of Business Development and in global clinical project management in which he participated in strategic planning and clinical trial management of territories including parts of North & South America, Europe, Japan, China, and the Middle East. He also spent five years working in the Hackensack Meridian Health System as an allied health professional.
Dr. Colfer’s research interests focus on reimbursement policy of the economic burden of disability and the management of this burden within healthcare systems. He earned his B.S. in Biology from Monmouth University and his M.B.A. and Ph.D. (Health Policy) from The University of the Sciences. Brian is a member of the Academy of Business Research and the Drug Information Association.
