Admission Requirements B.S.N.
High School Applicants
High school students applying to the College of Nursing must have completed at least one unit in biology and one unit in chemistry, in addition to the other university requirements for admission.
A cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher is required for students transferring from other colleges or from other majors at Seton Hall. A satisfactory score on the College of Nursing admissions examination is required of students transferring from other colleges as well. Further information about the admission examination is available from the College of Nursing’s Assistant Dean for Student Success. All science courses required in the traditional BSN curriculum must be completed at a 4- year college or university, with an earned grade of B or higher. Science courses that do not meet these criteria must be taken here at Seton Hall.
English as a Second Language
All applicants to the College of Nursing whose native language is not English must have taken the TOEFL iBT® test within the past five years and achieved minimum scores of 22 in Reading, 22 Listening, 26 in Speaking and 24 in Writing.
