Pirate Pride is evident for five Setonians who will be honored at the NJBIZ 2019 Best 50 Women in Business Awards annual event, which recognizes leading women from across the state who shape their organizations, industries and the economic landscape. Seton Hall Interim President Mary J. Meehan '72/M.A. '74/Ph.D. '01 is recognized as a national leader in higher education and healthcare, her mentoring of scores of women and numerous volunteer community services efforts.
Four other Seton Hall alumnae also being honored include:
- Michellene Davis '94/J.D. '97, immediate past president/senior vice president and chief corporate affairs officer, Executive Women of New Jersey / RWJBarnabas Health
- Sandra C. Fava Gerold J.D. '05, partner, Fox Rothschild LLP
- Shannon K. Fitzgerald J.D. '08, founder, Brazen Brands
- Lisa A. Gorab J.D. '89, Public Finance group chair, assistant managing director, Wilentz, Goldman & Spitzer PA
The event takes place on March 25 at the Palace in Somerset Park, Somerset. The winners were selected by a panel of independent judges based upon their professional success, community involvement and advocacy for women, according to NJBIZ.
