About the Office of International Programs
The Office of International Programs (OIP) at Seton Hall University
is a multipurpose center that creates, supports, and encourages
international activities throughout the campus.
The OIP supports several populations on campus including, international students and scholars, exchange students and study abroad students. In a given year, the OIP provides services to approximately 400 international students and scholars as well as 150 study abroad students. The OIP is responsible for coordinating the visa process for students and scholars applying for the F-1 and J-1 visas. The OIP also assists students to navigate the study abroad process. Throughout the year, the OIP hosts various events, including study abroad fairs, orientations for new international and study abroad students, social activities among other events. During the fall, the OIP organizes a month-long International Celebration that involves campus-wide participation to showcase the multiculturalism of our campus.
The OIP also serves as an adviser to the student organization, Seton Hall International Programs (SHIP), which consists of students who have studied abroad in the past and those who are looking forward to. The OIP also co-advises the International Student Association (ISA), which is made up of a combination of international and local students who enjoy learning about different cultures.
We look forward to helping you realize your dream of studying abroad, whether it’s at Seton Hall University or overseas!
