Movement Science Doctoral Candidates Defend their Dissertations  

Front shot of the University Center. Two candidates for the Ph.D. in Health Sciences degree will defend their dissertations on February 19-20, 2018.

This doctoral degree, offered by the Department of Interprofessional Health Sciences and Health Administration, is the only of its kind in New Jersey. Ph.D. in Health Sciences students choose to specialize in health professions leadership, movement science or speech-language pathology. The program has more than 100 graduates to date.

The University community is invited to attend the following:

  • Ph.D. Dissertation Defense of Mohammed Alsaeed – "Assessing the Effects of Dual Tasking on Spatiotemporal Parameters of Gait in Older Adults: Exploring Age and Task Demands" – on Monday, February 19, 2018, from 1 to 3 p.m. in the Chancellor's Suite, University Center. The Dissertation Committee is comprised of Professor Genevieve Pinto Zipp, P.T., Ed.D., Chair; Professor Ning Zhang, M.D., Ph.D., MPH; and Professor Fortunato Battaglia, M.D., Ph.D.
  • Ph.D. Dissertation Defense of Danielle Struble-Fitzsimmons – "Exploring the Use of the Timed Up and Go Test to Identify Patient Fall Risk in an Inpatient Geriatric Psychiatry Unit" – on Tuesday, February 20, 2018, from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. in the Chancellor's Suite, University Center. The Dissertation Committee is comprised of Professors Zipp and Zhang, and Assistant Professor Deborah A. DeLuca, M.S., Ch.E., J.D.
